Real Christmas Activities on the 22nd

Since Pop took over my post last night, I thought I'd bring you up-to-date on real Christmas activities.  Pop put the lights on the tree yesterday morning and I have started decorating. It is always fun to pull out the ornaments and remember when (and where) we got them and the history behind other ones.  I always start with paper ones made by the three boys before they started school.  They go low so they hang nicely and because they are cat (often we have had a cat) and dog proof.

The angels are out on the piano and the nativity is out, though I'm not sure the nativity is in the right spot.  It may be moved.  When that is done and the tree is finished, the decorating is complete.  At least it will happen in time for Christmas.

I called Babz last night to leave a message congratulating her on her first day at Amgen and actually got to talk with her.  What a treat!  Such a busy, exciting time.

What do you think of all the music Pop added?  There sure is variety.

Much love to all of you.

  1. Linda -- maybe others -- was surprised to find some songs sung by a guy who sounded like he lived along the Ohio River and canoed with me at Turkey Creek, and that's right. You'll find the stuff. Dave Wright, a canoeing companion with a daughter who sings like an angel, is a whiskey-drinking guitar-slapping joke-telling dog-loving car salesman sort of a guy, and we fondly annoy each other at the start of a canoe clinic, me playing opera and Dave playing Hank Williams on our car stereos. But he's got the love for every man given by God in him, and the songs are for Dave.
